For many years now I have been restoring bamboo fly rods for my customers. In 2006, I started offering hand planed custom cane rods. These rods are made from flamed Tonkin cane, split and planed to the taper chosen by the customer. Not sure what taper suits your needs? I can help you pick the rod that best suits your fishing situations. Rods will be built to customer specifications. Choose from high quality Arcane and Bellinger components, reel seats, ferrules and agate strippers, as well as Pacific Bay wire strippers, guides and tip tops. All rods are wrapped with high quality silk threads. Most rods are dipped in varnish for a high gloss finish, but a hand rubbed, matte finish can be ordered for those who prefer a stealthier approach. All rods come with a custom aluminum tube and sock. One and two tip rods available in two or three piece configurations.
